I guess somebody in the marketing department at Best Buy is reaching. They want to stir things up a little. Best Buy is offering a free iPhone 3GS tomorrow to “qualified” buyers, the company confirmed via Twitter on Thursday. Of course you have to sign up for a 2-year contract. There might be a mad house tomorrow at Best Buy, but something tells me different. Don’t get me wrong, The iPhone 3GS is a great phone, but it’s dated. Apple will outing the iPhone 5 in the summer of 2011. After all, it’s only the 8GB model. Some people can’t wait and some people are switching from other carriers, others are just at the end of their contracts. We will see.

This was a useful blog post, and I pretty much am in agreement. Even so I actually do have a very brief concern… I’ve had a iPhone for more than 3 years at the moment. Also I’ve a few weeks ago move up to an iPhone 4. And while I like the iPhone ( for the most part), I downright despise AT&T. I’d rather not have to jailbreak the iPhone to choose a better provider, however if Apple continues to be in business with AT&T a lot longer I’m going to really have to switch to purchasing an Android smartphone. The question is, do you really believe that Apple has got any kind of desires to widen the iPhone to more providers any time soon? Mostly I would love to get one with actual 4G phone coverage! Thanks for your insight!
